Approval for storage of records and archives for Public Authorities

Since May 2010 CDC Arkhinéo, a trusted third-party archiver and subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts, has been approved by the Ministry of Culture to store public archives and records for local authorities.
CDC Arkhinéo's Electronic Archiving Service therefore meets all the required legal and technical criteria.

The NF Z 42-013 standard for electronic archiving service providers, introduced by AFNOR in 2001 and revised in February 2009, states a set of specifications for technical and organisational measures for the recording, storage and return of electronic documents while maintaining their probative value.

The paperless trend is continuing towards 'zero paper'. Today a total of 120,000 organisations (including hospitals and retirement homes for example) can pool and outsource their archives.
